Welcome! You may well wonder why it's been so long without a post from me. Several shows and events needed extra attention for the past month, so the painting had to take a back seat. Now I have completed a view of Eureka, CA, harbor in a radically warm palette. The composition is one I am happy with, even though I did not stay as transparent with my colors as I meant to. Transparent browns are a challenge. Anyway it's an interesting experiment I hope. If you look close, the parts that seem to be white are not really stark white at all. I still have some work to do: shipping paintings here and there as well as preparing a show for Sonoma County this summer; but I plan to be painting and posting more regularly from now on until next spring. As always, comments are welcome. Carol
